History & other Information

The car was sold new by Chinetti-Garthwaite Imports in Paoli, PA on May 26, 1976.  The salesman was Mr. C. F. Spring.  The original warrantee booklet is reportedly signed by Enzo Ferrari, under the factory stamp.  The first buyer,  Ms. Gloria K., said that she traded in her Lamborghini Muria for the car.

Current owner spoke to the original purchaser of who now lives in Connecticut.  Apparently she was driving by the dealer in her Lamborghini Muria and saw it in the window.  She traded in the Muria (!) and drove the 308 for almost a year.  One day she she was driving into her driveway and the steering gave out.  The factory sent people to look at the car and they asked her if she wanted another one in trade.  She gave them back the car.
